I'm perfectly sober.. I swear..
Anyway...
Yeah...
I figure they'd get only 1d6 for their checks, but get +1 for every 10 Gretchin models within 9", as per how Orks used to work (with the proximity buff) And as rolling a Perils of the Warp would be so rare/difficult.... What if it just yeeted the psyker from existence, instead of causing mortal wounds?
What sorts of powers might a Grot Psyker have?
Likely some sorts of buffs? Bonuses or rerolls to hit or wound? Maybe something to manipulate leadership? Would the various Goblin spells translate from AoS at all? Something to cause a unit to be "in cover"?
So far, for "named Gretchin" that I am aware of, we have; Makari, Da Red Gobbo and Nikkit.. This whole line of thought came from wanting more HQ options for Gretchin and wondering what sorts of powers Da Red Gobbo might have, if they were a Psyker.. "Why not write up a statline and some shitty abilities and use that tie-dye Gobbo you painted? Just ask if people are cool with it, prior to play?"
We really do need a more fleshed out Gretchin Codex. Even if it is just a joke and treated as "Legends", it would be lots of fun (for me, at least)

Hwy I saw a cool grot list that just uses lots of counts as profiles. I think the psyker was a bunch of grots piggy backing each other in a totem pole kinda look.
He just counted it as a weird boy but used grot models.

Oh also he had a "warboss on bike" which if I recall was a snotling pump wagon from fantasy done up.
I think if you could come up with cool grot stand in using the ork rules'will give a grot army a lot of teeth

I don't see why you couldn't use a bunch of count-as stuff like Jordan said. I'm sure it'd be easy enough to explain away so long as they were modeled nicely.

Yeah, I've never seen any count-as army that was well-done being turned away or frowned upon (other than the "srs bzn" crew over at Toronto Astronomicon who were offended by the Smurfs, but that's a whole other story.)
Imperial Guard is a frequently re-used counts-as army since their rules lineup provide a lot of flexibility and their "human-like" statline(s) make them an easy plugin for a lot of other sci-fi concepts based on humanoids.
