So some of these fully integrated the new balance slate, others parts of, but you can already see a big shift in who's on top - ie: everyone kind of gets a turn hitting podiums. did GW do something that actually... gasp... worked... too early to tell but when I'm seeing nids, eldar, necrons, csm and knights hitting podiums, something is DEFINITELY changing with the larger meta. (I realize alot of these skew lists never trickled down to the local level but still) www.goonhammer.com/competitive-innovations-in-9th-liminal-state/

Hopefully it shakes out better. The main Ork list is out so there will be a muddle before people settle on a new "The List" for that book, which probably includes a lot of killrigs. There are some new faces but a healthy chunk of those players and lists already podiumed last meta as well with largely unchanged lists, including the CSM and Knights players, so I'm not sure that represents a genuine shift so much as already tuned lists with competent pilots squeaking wins before the meta settles again. Dreadknight spam will probably be one of the big boogeymen until GW gets around to nerfing them.
It's like you see after every block rotates in MTG where suddenly standard seems open which usually lasts about a week lol.

We'll get Austin this weekend and that'll throw another wrench into the skew since "GW terrain" setups were already pushing melee, indirect fire, and units with powerful but shorter range guns into favor.
Honestly it would be nice to see the meta just stay like this for a bit. But I'm sure within 3-4 weeks we'll see some new builds rise to the top.

With the meta-chasing crowd, there's always a broken combo on the horizon

I'm expecting to see knights do well with a 3 Big 5 little set up. With the new count 5/10 bodies and little guys obsec. A lot of lists haven't been teching into mass anti armor. Could be a good window for them

Could be a good window for them I definitely agree. The Magaera is being viewed as 'too good not to run' right now with the buffs, and I suspect the big 2 little 7 and big 3 little 4/5 setups both have a lot of steam to them if they are quarterbacked by it. I've heard competitive chatter that triple Magaera could possibly break into S tier if Knights are as good as theorized. If you've been running light on Anti Tank, you probably want to tool up. The big boys are coming for us.

Chronos- and Talos-heavy lists have been performing well for the past few weeks, particularly in the Dark Eldar mirror. I think this was an obvious adaptation for many, with the balance patch changes.
