I was actually kinda worried that id have to compete with one of these box sets AND the Custode/GSC one coming out. I can officially say my wallet is sleeping easy knowing i need none of the Christmas box sets at this time lol

Pricing is out. Really not the deep cut sales we've become accustomed to for christmas boxes assuming the Canadian MSRP lines up with the USD exchange rate :/
Basically if you want every single unit it's a decent savings, but even one box of something you don't want or can't use will absorb most of the discount. As an example the ones I'm looking at picking up, Death Guard, there are two overpriced kinda useless $35 clamshell monosculpt plague marines that make up a big portion of the savings in the box and which I would never buy and am unlikely to ever use. Means although I do sort of want everything else, I'm only saving like... half the price of a single box of plague marines in actual usable figures.
Not wholly surprising but definitely makes a lot of them less appetizing, especially if you aren't starting a new army from scratch.

Yeah, Canadian stores are advertising at $212.50 ($250 MSRP). Definitely not an impulse buy for this fella.
I feel you on the lukewarm reception to the DG box. I'm looking at the slaanesh box myself. Only has 1 cheap character, which I want anyway. Don't really need the slaangors, but they are pretty...

I'm definitely grabbing the hedonites. I didn't buy in when they came out, but now I can't not do it. And I'll finally have the excuse to build the hedonism bot conversion that I will totally build... sometime... maybe when I have time... in 18 years when the boys are grown... sigh.
