Thoughts on the Titan Terrain kickstarter

I was watching the Tabletop Titan channel showing off the prototype.

I thought that it's a pretty good solution for fast setup, aesthetics, and functionality. I'm not a huge fan of the perfect squares, but I understand the design decision behind it for modularity. the firing lanes it creates is easy enough to mitigate by having some extra bits.

I just like that it's fits in a board game sized box. plus an extra tub of dress up goodies like trees and crates and gribbly bits and your set.

hmmm this looks pretty sweet for those of us with limited storage / playing area. Having all the terrain just go back in a box afterwards folded flat is pretty awesome!

Lots of controversy between upzone and titans terrain. Its onlybeen 3days but it feels scetchy.

One thing I noticed when titans were playing the 1000 point demo game is the Titans set lends itself to smaller games better due to the tile size being 15" squares instead of the 15x22 tiles of the upzone set.

For those of us who don't have strike force size tables at home the fact the Titans set works far better for customizability at the smaller size of incursion games could be a important difference

I saw the upzone stuff as well.

As for the whole controversy thing, in all honestly pop up books aren't a new thing lol. And having options is never a bad thing.

Options are great. I like Titan's more. I kinda like the Necron Terrain of Upzone but, at the time last year you had to buy the standard set and get the necron stuff as a bonus. It's just the idea that Upzone sent them a copy of theirs before the kickstarter finished to promote it, and then 1 year later titan's makes their own.

Upzone has an expansion pack called Cathedral Zone.
Titan's have a expansion pack called... Cathedral Square.

It feels to sketchy that's all.
