So I've changed up my list a bit, I wasn't sure about what I was doing before 😅 so here goes nothing! General: Lord Arcanum on Gryphcharger - 195 Vandus Hammerhand - 215 Lord-Castellant - 155 Battleline: (5) Vindictors x 3 - 390 Units: Stormstrike Chariot x 2 - 330 Decimators - 215 Grand Total : 1,500 on the button. •Command trait is Master of Magic so my Arcanum can reroll a spell. •Artefact is Arcane Tome to gain an extra spell •Mount Trait is Scintillating Trail, so enemy wizards have a -1 to their unbinds for my Arcanums spells. •Unique Enhancement is Call for aid, replace 1 five model unit of Vindictors when destroyed. •Bonus Enhancement Unleash Thy Hatred, 1 combat phase my Paladins gain +1 attack.
Hammers of Sigmar for the 6" objective 6+ ward save as well as rolling with the Stormkeep option. No reserve units, in lieu of the redeemer models counting as 3 instead, and redeemers being charged on objectives can do mortal wounds. I think the two chariots will add mobility, allowing me to run my slow going infantry. Vandus having a 24" no battleshock, and a free once per combat +1 to attack for 1 redeemer unit seemed priceless. Plus both my big heros have serious mobility. Arcanum has the heal spell as well as the cycle of the Storm, next to the Paladins can be hopefully useful? 🙏 I love the Lord-Castellant 😅 free +1 to save, why not. Hope this works!

Looks good, I forgot to ask about the Decimators on your last list. Protectors seem to the the hot choice right now with the 5 attacks per model and pretty much guaranteed mortals with two Starsoul Maces per 5 models (not to mention the 2+ save). Retributors come in a hot second for damage. What were you thinking with the Decimators?

Which weapon swap is best atm is always just luck of the draw and can change very suddenly anyway.

Retributors come in a hot second for damage. What were you thinking with the Decimators? Well my decimators are 3 axes, 2 maces. So on a 2+ hopefully I'll get 2d3 mortals with the star soul maces, and then have 16 attacks with 3 axes, or 22? I believe if the unit is less than the enemy it's attacking? Unless I understand the unique enhancement incorrectly, for one combat phase I can add +1 attack characteristics to a Paladins melee weapon, so im hoping that would be 4 attacks with the maces? If not that would still be 25 attacks with 3 axes just playing the numbers game, retributors are alot more points as well.

The reason people favour protectors atm is, besides the armor save bonus, they have 3" range weapons, so they'll always all get to fight (starsoul maces in front glaives behind) which isn't always true of the other paladins.
But at 5 dudes coherency isn't too crippling so decimators will still work. The difference will be marginal at all but the top tables, and against their ideal target decimators are significantly more destructive.
