Other than T.Sons these all look really amazing in terms of models people might need/ use and pretty solid savings.
Not sure why there are no rubric marines in a T.Sons box but ok.
If the prices stay at 140 I think there is really good value in all the boxes.

Genuinely surprised tau aren't getting crisis suits this time around.
Also, those tzaangor stocks must be in the toilet. Talk about oversaturating the market with discount boxes.

I'll be buying the GSC one myself, and I can easily foresee the Custodes one selling well.
Tau on the other hand... Have we had a combat patrol box launched _PRE_ codex drop yet in 9th? I feel like that might be a big clue these aren't all dropping at once, but I guess the TS/GK ones are way overdue and GSC/Custodes were supposed to drop around this time anyways.

I have the very strong feeling that Tau codex will be up for pre-order on the 22nd alongside this box. (So I guess well see on the 16th). If they played their logistics cards right late last year they might be able to actually get off running this year with certain products. (ie 3 codexs in on month) This would also follow through on the rumour of the Eldar vs CSM box going up for pre-order on the 29th of Jan. |

Check out the prices on ebay and other secondary markets for hammerheads. GW was out of stock within 24hrs of the railgun announcement. Looks like the metachasers are already back in force. I've already got my longstrike+friend. Good enough for me, and I paid less than half of current retail price as a reward for playing them when they sucked, haha. Definitely not surprised they aren't in the box though. Older kits aren't as sexy, and suits are more popular with the kids than tanks.
Any current tau player definitely had plenty of chances to get all the crisis suits they wanted by now, I'm just surprised GW as moved away from the "they must be in every box" philosophy. If they're better this edition I might build the 6 more I have on sprue. Should have done that already, but magnetizing and painting all those weapon options...

I was hoping the next one would of had a broadside but a ghostkeel is nice though, but for me I already own three of them and don't need anymore. but also having the stealth suits and firewarriors plus ethereal and a cadre this kit has more value in it than the previous one if it stay's at the 120$ mark but they will raise the price most likely. |

I was also really hoping for a broadside this time around. I could use a 3rd ghostkeel and the stealth suits, but I really don't need more fire warriors, or the characters. I'll probably end up giving it a pass.

I'll probably end up giving it a pass. yeah Id say your on the money for the price and yeah i feel ya on the same note too, me I'd like the stealth suits and one more cadre then firewarriors id maybe go for 2 more kits but i already have three ghostkeels and ethereals on hover drones, I kinda wished i got the starpluse cadre when it came out, because it had a bit of everything i wanted but sadly didn't have the money, Maybe the next combat patrol will have a broadside if i don't get to 6-8 of them before then. |
