Note: This event is being tentatively scheduled and will only be proceeding if relevant COVID-related public health measures have been lifted and the event is safe to run. If not, the event will be rescheduled for a later date.



This event is a five round, two-day Warhammer 40k tournament at the Kingston Gaming Nexus: 270 Bagot St. Kingston, ON. Admission to the tournament is $50. Sign up is in advance at Kingston Gaming Nexus. Full payment is required to reserve your spot at the tournament. This tournament will have more limited numbers of participants due to the current pandemic. A copy of the signup list will be posted on the Kingston Warhammer forum; however you cannot sign up via the forum, only at the store or online at the Kingston Gaming Nexus website.



The date of the event is Saturday February 19, 2022 and Sunday February 20, 2022. Doors open 8:30 AM. Dice roll at 9:00 AM. Please arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the start time day one so we can confirm your registration.



This will be a 2,000 point tournament. No list can be submitted with points above this limit at all – even a 2,001 point list is not allowed! A maximum of three detachments may be used.


This is a fully painted event. Your painting score includes a component which is scored by yourself prior to the tournament, as well as a score provided by your opponent. Please refer to the player pack for specifics. All lists to be pre-submitted to: [e-mail]

8:30 AM – Sign in

9:00 AM to 11:30 AM – Game One

11:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Lunch

12:30 PM to 3:00 PM – Game Two

3:15 PM to 5:45 PM – Game Three



Sunday February 20, 2022



8:30 AM – Sign in

9:00 AM to 11:30 AM – Game Four

11:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Lunch

12:30 PM to 3:00 PM – Game Five

the original players pack says that list deadline is January 15th, however this was when it was originally constructed and sent to Nexus in December. As there's has been a delay in all of this (stupid covid) as we weren't sure we could even have club champs - we can extend this a bit. We still have to order stuff - so please have your lists to me by the 22nd if possible.

Given there are codexes finally being released - if you do not have your book yet but it's inbound, you can send me a list and then amend your list if needed when your codex arrives with no worry about losing early bird.

Also please be aware - if the order currently in effect is extended we will have to move the tournament. We don't have a choice.

I would like to bring a tau army, can i submit a necron list as my runner up and if the tau codex becomes available i can submit a tau list (. I see what you wrote above, just dont know if i can switch factions)

I’m on the same boat. I’m building an army for the event, but I would like to have any Deathwatch as a backup in case I don’t get it finished in time due to life getting in the way. can I submit a list for both?

yes... because you might not get a tau codex in time, so I can see where you'd want a fall back that isn't the existing codex. 

I'm going to be SUPER liberal on this.

Yes you certainly can... normally I have more lead time (ie: right after secret santa) so I'm going to be very lenient this year to make sure everyone can play whatever they want!

Edit: How long does it take for Nexus to confirm paypal payment?  Because I've paid online and my booking still says 'awaiting payment'.

I think they do it manually. So one of the staff needs to see the payment and update the site.

Thanks.  And I'm now Approved status so worry over.

Now I just need to pick a list.
