Hey everyone,
As always I want to ensure that I'm putting on the best tourney possible, so I'd like to have your feedback all right in one spot so I can look back and review all the comments and recommendations to make any necessary changes.
What I'd like to know is:
1. what was your overall experience? 2. things that worked really well for you? 3. things you'd recommend changing? 4. how do you like the five game format?
pretty much anything else you can think of please feel free to add it

1. what was your overall experience? As always for me it was great. Things seem to run smoothly. This time we didn`t have as many time reminders and found myself hurrying a bit more at the end of the round.
2. things that worked really well for you? Seemed to have more room on tables to put models or things. Was easier to manage everything.
3. things you'd recommend changing? Would it be possible to have one table video recorded or set something up?
4. how do you like the five game format? LOVE IT. I'm not as tired after the week-end. Sunday isn`t as daunting. More relaxed and I actually painted Sunday night whereas before I wouldn`t touch my models for a solid month or two.

1. what was your overall experience?
Great! I had a load of fun! Great to play against a bunch of people that I don't see on the regular even if I ended up loosing the majority of the weekend. Thanks again for running it!
2. things that worked really well for you?
5 Games over the weekend is great. The event doesn't 100% take over your whole weekend this way, you get your entire Sunday evening.
3. things you'd recommend changing?
Nothing major that I can think of rules wise of the top of my head. The Idea of adding in a player terrain could be fun as long as we had enough people enter it though we do have club terrain to offset any missing tables. I know if it does become a thing, I'll probably build a table for next event. Gives me a good push to get my own done.
4. how do you like the five game format? 5 games over the weekend is great, though I don't play enough so I always find myself having to discuss the mission for a while as I am not familiar enough with the rules. But that means I just need to get out and play more then once every 2 months or at events.

1. what was your overall experience?
This was one of the best Clubs I think we have had and the fact that it was in the pandemic is a testament to how smoothly it ran. Match up were quick, great prize table, felt big without being stuff shoulder to shoulder.
2. things that worked really well for you?
I think in general the tables felt pretty good this year, lots of space between them, rarely had an issue finding a place to set my army. I think 11/14 tables looked really solid on terrain, also as the objectives really change a lot most tables felt like they had enough that you could move at around to solve any major issues that might arise. The bonus paint scoring at the end do day two was great, I like the set up if you scored high than X, you will be able to get bonus points.
3. things you'd recommend changing?
I think I like 99%. my only changes would be something like player placed terrain but I know that becomes a logistical issue more than a viability issue. I think a pile of terrain on a table and getting 5 minutes to set it up with your opponent would be awesome but not 100% needed, see #2 about overall terrain feelings. List posting as a mandatory part. I know we have early bird, to focus lists to lock in before the tournament and that this year was especially bad between CA and the Tau codex both hitting in less than 2 weeks before but I did find it VERY useful to be able to go on the forums and review lists and familiarise myself with some of the lists before hand so I knew what questions to ask at the table like "who is always fights last", "where is your caster", "Where is X relic". Id like to see the list posting 2 weeks before hand become part of Early bird.
4. how do you like the five game format?
Loved it! 5 rounds felt really good. I think it also so happened that we ended up with a single undefeated player at the end which was the goal, I think most players hit their list building level by game 3, I don't think there were any massive surprises day 2. However I would like to put forward the a 3 hr game schedule, obviously something that needs to fly with Nexus but
Day 1
8:30 open 9-12 Game 1 12-1 Lunch 1-4 Game 2 4:15 -7:15 Game 3
Day 2
8:30 9-12 Game 4 12-1 Lunch 1-4 Game 5 4-5 Prize/clean up
I'd be happy to put in an extra $10 to keep nexus open for 1.5hrs to 7:30 on Saturday. I really do think that at 2000 pts, if you want people to not handwave the last turn you need that 3 hrs game, most games start slow but very quickly snowball as models die. I think if not possible on Saturday then at least on Sunday when there are some high stakes games that the 3 hours would be great.
Overall very happy with 2022 Clubs and excited to see what 2023 brings

1. what was your overall experience? Excellent. Probably the most fun I've had at an event in a while.
2. things that worked really well for you? Like the sportsmanship rating although I kinda wish it wasn't 3-2 across two days since it would probably create weird weighting anomalies.
3. things you'd recommend changing? Not sure I'd change anything specifically although I like Jordan's idea of making list posting an official part of club champs, since it is the most competitive event of the year. It creates a narrower focus of mechanics one must familiarize themselves with in the days leading up to the event.
4. how do you like the five game format? Five games is great. The old two day events with 6 I was always wiped out and hated the last game and sapped of energy for prizes.

1. What was your overall experience? I had a great time. I had five excellent games, and I got to walk away with a big expensive prize.
2. Things that worked really well for you? Most of the tables had a good amount of terrain, which was great to see. I'd love to see even more next year!
3. Things you'd recommend changing? In regards to Sportsmanship scoring - it worked well, this year. I had five excellent opponents, who all deserved points. My concern is that there is no way to indicate someone who was genuinely unsporting, impolite, or just unfun to play against - while you could rank a theoretical bad sport lowest, there's no way to differentiate between them and someone who had to be ranked lowest because it's a ranked score sheet. Food for thought.
I'll also toss a vote in for making public list submission mandatory.
Another thought - should Codexes be allowed before their FAQ has been published? Mercifully no one took advantage of the current Tau issues, but there are a few that could have been scary - Longstrike (a Hammerhead) being untargetable near Crisis Bodyguards, using Allied Worlds to run Farsight Enclaves without the Ethereal restriction, Drones allowing any unit to deep strike, etc.
4. How do you like the five game format? I love it! Let's keep doing this going forward.
