So, I really need to magnetize my bases. My carrying case situation is well out of hand at this point, and I need to move beyond foam and bubble wrap.
Wondering what size and method people use for their various units. I'd like to strike that happy medium between a solid grip on the tray, and not sticking to each other and every metal object within 6" on the table.

I use 6mmx3mm on the bottom of bases... I just grab them off amazon (which aren't crazy strong) for this purpose... can get like a hundred of them for $15 (whereas full rare earth gets expensive - I save those for monster weapons etc.)
I use a plastic tub, built a shelf in it (for two layers of models or a spot to stick books/dice etc. )
Metal sheets can be gotten cheaply at Home Depot - I use the stuff for duct work (the flat rectangle big sheets) and cut them with tin snips (edges are sharp though!).

Awesome, thanks a bunch! Just placed an order for the magnets. I have some plastic containers with shelves, but I think I may need more/larger ones soon. Hobby projects so I can have more hobby projects.
