hey I just want to confirm something that had never come up and then suddenly came up like 3 times in my last games. The Command re-roll ability lets you re-roll a failed saving throw. Am I correct in my ruling that that means you can NOT re-roll Feel No Pain type abilities, as they are not saves?
I ended up playing my Orks into a guard player using Yorrick who has s 3+ FNP on his last wound, when I told him he couldn't re-roll he got rather angry about rules lawyering. (not at nexus)
does any one have else have insight into this? Can command re-roll work on ignoring wound mechanics?

Let's see. The core book says this: The command re-roll can be used after you have made a hit, wound, or damage roll, a saving throw, an advance roll, a charge roll, a psychic test, a deny the witch test or you have rolled dice to determine the number of attacks made by a weapon.
If a FNP roll is considered a 'saving throw' then yes you can re-roll.

But it is not a save, otherwise you cant use it after a armour of invul save. The book says you may use your BEST save so you only get the one.

Rolls to ignore wounds are not saving throws, and cannot be rerolled via Command Reroll.
In the same way that the amount of mortal wounds inflicted by Smite is not a damage roll.

OK thank you for the back up. I knew I wasn't crazy but I had multiple people try to do it.

With my faction, FNP isn't really a thing that occurs very much.

I'll admit I think I have done this. (Not the arguing and such but the rerolling a fnp)
My only excuse would be some times the rules of different editions get messed up.
But yes you are correct command points rerolls are very strict on what they can be used for now.

you cannot reroll FNP, or mortals, or explosions.. they're not on the list for command rerolls... says right under the strat what can be rerolled and that is it.
