ya, once per turn, im not sure if it was this or last edition that you have to do a leadership check i get them messed up cause i haven't played this one much

if you have a musician, prior to moving, you can make a leadership check to reform. If you pass, you can reform for free and move as normal (no marching, just normal move). If you fail, you must reform, which is your full movement action.

anything can reform, using all their movement...
only a unit with a musician can swift reform.

can caverly and chariots reform? or is it just infatry units? Just to add to Jack Shrapnel's explanation, chariots, characters on their own and monsters never reform. They simply pivot on the spot for free and move as desired during the remaining moves phase. This makes them somewhat more mobile than units, which only makes sense since they don't have to coordinate anyone's activity other than their own - i.e. they don't have to herd cats ;D
