They're a pretty cool tank, but like many FW pieces, they haven't aged well in 9th. You need to spend a CP to bring one, and the codex tank (especially Loyalist!) options normally outperform them now; with a few rare circumstances.
That's primarily part of a large backlash from 7th when they were an absolute monster on the battlefield, and FW units were largely the best possible slot choice. Hence why we're seeing lots of FW options as the "poor"/thematic choice in slot nowadays.

That was an ongoing backlash from the earliest days of imperial armour.....literally everything FW was just better, and it kind of snowballed when the HH stuff came out in 6th and onward.
Was kind of a shame though because the blanket bans on using FW stuff most places really put a damper on building some cool armies back in my early days (I still have the Badab War IA books because I wanted to build the cool Astral Claws/Planteary Auxilia mixed army....but I never did because I wouldnt have been able to use it for anything)
Yeah, I get it; I was one of the people that said "Oh, FW looks really cool...it just helps that it's ALSO way better rules wise...". I'm as much to blame as anyone else from those days that ran any FW units.
Hopefully the rule of 3 isn't in effect for 30k, because if I do decide to run a few games with my Sons, then it'll be kind of cool to clear the bench so to speak on all of the tanks/dreads/planes that are sitting on the shelf not getting any playtime.

The echoes of that era are powerful, in 'no forgeworld' is a tacitly accepted policy almost everywhere you can find a casual game, despite the fact that besides a few notable exceptions (volkite contemptors) the vast majority of the imperial armour designs have been abominably bad for quite a long time.
I'm slightly surprised to see this one in plastic though, it's obviously a classic design but I figured the new one (which has a very similar silhouette) was going to replace it as the mainline relic tank. Apparently we get both! Should be nice for anyone who dreamed of playing legit space marine armour.
