alright... so yeah I broke down and bought that chaos knight set.... but don't necessarily want to invest a bunch more money and run all knights.... given I have a lot of other chaos
so here's me trying to wrap my brain around something.
You can mark chaos knights with the nurgle, slaanesh, khorne, tzeentch keyword. So technically they share a keyword with other daemons / csm books correct?
if you bring one dreadblade, as I understand it, marked with tzeentch, then you can have a superheavy aux detachment (which by the new book you still get abilities for) and then a battalion of thousand sons for example.
I think I can bring a superheavy detachment of slaanesh marked Knights/wardogs AND a batallion of slaanesh daemons, Although as I understand it, unless the knight is the warlord, you're paying a hefty 6 CP for the privilege of doing so.
As far as I'm aware you CANNOT bring a disciples of Belakor list with a detachment of knights because that detachment cannot take the DOB keyword because it's not on the list of options for that keyword (which is fine as disciples is pretty "meh")
So there's an additional part that says that a single dreadblade unit can be taken in an aux detachment without breaking other detachment rules (so tsons would still get their cabbalistic ritual) as they become Agent of Chaos.
So .....
knight and 2 wardogs + tsons = legal but no cabbalistic ritual Knight + tsons = legal and cabbalistic rituals okay Slaanesh knight detachment + keeper battalion = legal and loci is fine as long as no mixing daemons.
Am I understanding this correctly? (not sure why I'm finding this book slightly confusing... but I am)

.... oh... as Goonhammer pointed out, a recent white dwarf article allows you to take a house Korvax knight... so I guess there's that option too?

I don't have the book, but that all tracks with what I've read thus far.

You can mark chaos knights with the nurgle, slaanesh, khorne, tzeentch keyword. So technically they share a keyword with other daemons / csm books correct? They always share a keyword - Chaos! You can bring unmarked, or differently marked, Knights in concert with any Chaos faction. A Super-Heavy Auxilliary provides Agent of Chaos to the Knight(s) included within, which would allow their allies to maintain their monofaction benefit - (for instance) Nurgle's Gift, or Cabbalistic Rituals.

oh right... it's same detachment cannot use chaos, but cross detachment is fine!
just a Super heavy aux though if I want to keep the monofaction bonus... got it.
Thanks!

Ya its Knight + team now and not team + knights (loyal 32 style). I think they did a good job finding the right balance. Both the Chaos and Imperials players can grab a knight for some of the more fun stuff. I don't think that there are any lists that a single knight can make unstoppable.
I do think what is going to end up being the best knight lists are going to fall into the 3 big/ 4 small or 2 big/7 small. The obsec and re-roll that the little guys can grab is going to be huge.
