tyrant must be the warlord now, no more swapping out an adaptive trait at the table you have to do it beforehand at home for some reason, and synaptic links only work if your warlord is on the battlefield.
stop kicking them GW... they're already dead!

Also notes,
1. Astra Militarium vehicles also get armour of contempt. 2. Nids adaptive trait must be selected before anything. Mustering army step 3. Tervigon wall of flesh is now also look out sir.

Ok so Orks are back into the mid tier, That Waaagh buff is HUGE for hordes. Best Snagga's are gonna be everywhere and goffs are going to be nasty with a lot of the models getting +2 strength on the charge.
I think Buggies getting the fix they needed will help a ton. only 3 of each but units of 1 are allowed again.

Woah not being able to swap adaptive traits on nids is super dumb. That was one of the coolest parts of the new codex and none really seemed overpowered. What a knee jerk reaction. Oh well I was doing the monsters have obsec every time anyway.

Oh well I was doing the monsters have obsec every time anyway. Yeah they really hammered the nids between the points getting significantly hiked, the last round of mini-nerfs, and then this dataslate. Reminds me of the brief moment in the sun of Flyrant spam before the rule of three shut that down hard. Oh well, at least I won't have to feel bad bringing out nids on a random Saturday. RIP Deathleaper though... poor guy... after so many years being terrible he got to be at least good for a bit. I think they're also determined that swarmlord will never hit a table again.... between CP changes and rare organism rule, combined with the tyrant having to be your warlord, there's just way too many better options than swarmy in this role unfortunately.

Anyone who was doing triple-farseer hail of doom bikers/avengers is probably crying in a corner right now.
Hail of Doom is now a mono-trait. RIP. People will still take it, it's THAT good still, but you can no longer combine with Mobile Fighters / Masterful Shots / etc for absolutely bonkers shuriken effects.
Additionally, only one eldritch storm per game, same with Fire and Fade, and Matchless Agility gets nerfed into F tier where it's basically now a command-reroll for an ability that you can't normally command-reroll.
Biel Tan Stonks are UPPPPPPPPPPPP right now boys. Hard Callin' it.
In other news, it's a great day to be a Necron or Ork player. You aren't dreaming, the changes are real.

probably an unpopular opinion but I thought we were going to see a walk back on the Custodes nerf. I still think they made a mistake and their rule should be
" all NON-CHARACTER infantry have obsec" not the only troops.
I do think that terminators, wardens and ventitarii need a little love. Right now Custodes are saggitarum guard, dreads and tanks and of course a unit or two of bikes who are still solid.

Ow, those poor 'nids. This is beyond nerf hammer and over to nerf thunderhammers.
As for the AoC on guard vehicles; huh, the superheavies and LR's get 6+ save against my Arks (-5 AP) and 5+ against my HDs (-4 AP). Gone are the days when I auto-pen Baneblades (Guard players: "And thank the Emperor for that!").
As for the Necrons, having a permenant Command Protocol is going to be very nice. Particularly since I can tailor it to my list and/or the list I'm facing.
Though with all vehicles being CORE -double checks, starts laughing- Yep, Szeras can now augment the T.Vault and Monolith. Sure +1 strength isn't useful but +1 toughness or BS on those guys? Whole different story.
On a related note, does this mean that you can bring back the Silent King's Menhirs even if both are destroyed? Because they're vehicles (IE now CORE) and the only limitation on rites of reanimation (at least for Szeras) is that you select one CORE unit in range and reanimate a destroyed model.
Because the Menhirs are part of the unit along with the SK, and the unit is still there even if both are destroyed.

yes, technically... until FAQ... you can bring back Menhirs....
and technically... Szeras can modify the silent king
and Silent king now benefits from his own aura!

I doubt I'll have the SL assembled and painted before said potential FAQ drops; but it's a fun image of your opponent slowly going insane as the Menhirs keep popping back up before any substantial damage can be done to the SL.
Almost as head-desk worthy as dealing with the properly kitted out Dark Angels Deathwing company with apothecary support.
