Wondering if anyone has suggestions on chaos spawn that look more in line with the thousand sons look? I've seen online people use AoS spirit hosts but wanted to know if anyone had other ideas.

All OBR stuff looks sweet and those are definitely an option I'm now considering!

For my Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons, I used regular marine models that I put on the larger spawn base and added large spell effects to make them appear to be using their Cult Powers to be turning themselves into something other than a regular marine.
Pyrae is encased in translucent flames Pavoni is an abrnomal growth of tentacles Raptora has a bunch of floating projectiles around it ready to fling at opponents Athanean has some of the smaller spirit hosts coming out of its body in various spots
The cool part about spawn is that they're defined by their lack of a uniform shape. So long as you have the correct base size and something that's definitely not "normal" by chaos marine standards, then you should be a-okay.

There are some awesome 3rd party and 3d printable owlbear models for D&D. As well as the wizards of the coast line. They are pretty cool spawn like models, Beast-like but feathered.
