While Nexus does it right by having teams rotate partners to avoid the most brutal of min/maxing in team there was still some pretty cool combos out there that open up when you start to mix and match codex. Also might be a good place to post up an interaction that you want to get a ruling on.

Mix of Necrons, Death guard and Admech and ?
Death Guard contagion range lowers toughness by 1 on a range that increases progressively. Skitarii Vanguard lower T and S by 1 in engagement range and Crons also have access to a sub faction for lowering T by 1 in a certain range.
Use this to make many T4 units T2, and even things like knights T6. Could be a cool interaction to make for some shockingly nasty melee just by drowning armies in saves.

Mix Eldar, Dark Eldar, Nights lords and Chaos knights
You can bring the best of the best at stripping leadership. Hemlocks (-2lds 12") and Mindwar, Dark creed with Trophies ( -3 lds 3") , Night lords ( assuming new codex doesn't change to much), Chaos knights with dread (-1 or -2 depending on turn number)
Force every model loss to trigger a leadership with a big penalty and watch units melt from special abilities like extra -1 on combat attrition test from the knights. Also with CP getting more rare the 2cp auto pass is less likely
AMBUSH!!
Orks, GSC, Ravenguard and Tau
The idea is to lead heavily into midboard deployment and explosive pregame and turn one movement.
Orks bring Trukk boyz, Kommandos and Da Jump, GSC just pop up like normal, Raven guard forward deploy units + Invictor suit. Tau Bring 3 Fish of Fury and stealth/keel to get the massive pregame move and surge.
Turn one you have like 80% of your army read to shot/melee and grab a ton of board control.
