Attachments... again

alright everyone, 

a reminder again to please keep attachments under 200k... we have threads on here with 10+ MB of pictures on them. 

I will be going through and deleting files because we are reaching our maximum storage (Proboards only gives us 200 MB for the entire forum - including all posts!) 

if your thread suddenly doesn't have pictures it's because you didn't follow the rules. Sadly this will mean some very nice high resolution pictures are being deleted. 

Please use IMGUR or other such programs to link or imbed your pictures to the post. 

note: the program will allow you to attach a file that's 1 MB in size... that's because they want me to pay money for extra storage, which I refuse to do!

A note on using Imgur - they will be removing content uploaded that is not tied to a user account starting May 15. If you uploaded pictures to Imgur without an account for this forum, the pictures will probably end up deleted.

I know that this purge will take out all the images I've uploaded. I imagine it will hit many more people here as well.

yeah for Imgur going forward you'd need to have an account with them... it's free at least

Updated Note: I'll be randomly scanning through posts with embedded photos, any that are above 200k will be deleted. If you know how to upload a photo, you know how to check the size before doing so.

For those who use Google photos, I've been really enjoying the simplicity of sharing stuff that way. Just gotta create a public album, and share from there.

As well there's lots of people using Imgur and Instagram; hotlinks from other sites cost us zero storage space and you don't have to upload it in two places!
