whoah... big old nerf to Leviathan... just synapse monsters now, which seriously limits things. I honestly think that will steer players away from that hive fleet as why take something that effects like 3 monsters in your whole force? (poor zoanthropes... you'll never see more than three models in a list ever now) Warriors are hit HARD by this as well. Maxing out at 3 for reaper stops the extra-attacks + reaper combo pretty dead. It's still a great relic for a flyrant, just won't be picking up any model in the game now.
Twilight harlies has already been switched over to by most GT players anyways, but I guess the small nerf to light is something.
Shock tactics is going to be SUPER popular now for marines.
Reversing all previous admech nerfs was one way of handling things I guess...lol
And ZERO surprise that Silent King / CCB lost core... that was a pretty dumb rules interaction that made no sense in terms of what CORE is supposed to even mean.

The Shock Tactics change definitely puts it back on my radar, when I was taking it I found I could reliably get it usually 2-3 times per game, so at 4VP that makes a pretty big difference there given that would mean 8 or 12 VP instead of 6-9.
I've literally never played a game vs Admech ever, but I remember they had that absolutely stupid mortal wound shooting interaction that got nerfed... if that comes roaring back it'll probably force another emergency brake pull.

Some... interesting choices, this time around. Fewer Secondary tweaks than I might have expected.
The Space Marines change is going to make the rich get richer, as it were - Space Wolves, Blood Angels, and Black Templars will be happy, but it doesn't do much for the garbage win rate of Imperial Fists et al.
With no changes, I expect Sisters of Battle to rise to the top win rate at this point.

I think you're right... the dominant nid build just got hammered, so that should clear the way for the sisters to rise to the forefront (given leviathan nids were a tough matchup for sisters). The necron secondaries are so good I don't even think that losing core on silent king will drop them too much.

Admech getting enriched rounds back to being 1cp I think is still bonkers. 4+ to hit auto wound for 1 cp on a block of 20 Rangers or Vanguard is awesome especially since there's other buffs you can give them to increase ap and amount of shots. For refrence a vangard is 3 shots each and you can spend cp to make rangers guns rapid fire 2 not much is gonna survive 80 shots 4s auto wound lol. I'm sad about the reaper nerf but I saw it coming still gonna run it in my list. Also glad I never practiced with leviathan. Transhuman on a munch of T8 monsters only is definitely a pretty big hit from getting on 9 man Warrior blobs aswell.

I actually think we're going to see a very brief period before the guard dex drops where Sisters and other infantry-heavy builds spike up (the builds suppressed by Lev Nids) only to have the world come crashing down when Guard rolls out in a few weeks with parking lots of artillery
EDIT:
Finally got a chance to watch the interview, they directly said they are keeping a really close eye on sisters and necrons for the next while as they are concerned they might have had their WR supressed by their matchup with Lev Nids. So I think y'all are very correct!

They actually never nerfed the CP cost, either - the only change was that it went from 4+ to 5+, and now it's going back to 4+.

Woah I misread the nerf I genuinely thought it was 2cp with the 5+ for the nerf. Well glad I can just read everything straight from the codex now lol

Reversing all previous admech nerfs was one way of handling things I guess...lol The power creep on other factions brought AdMech back into balance??? My reaction is lol as well. I'm not sure AdMech isn't overpowered again. (I just like cyborg monks, I don't need to be OP). EDIT - Point nerfs are unchanged. I thought point updates were in the dataslate, just learned there's another document for updated points. I'm not sure this change does... much of anything?

Points adjustments were migrated to the field manual when it became a free online pdf, and when it became apparent that the points changes in the dataslate would become permanent fixtures of the game (Drukhari, Orks, Admech, Harlies, etc). The field manual won't be due for an update until the next competitive-season starts, which is approximately early January.
