What point level do you want to play most of the time?

I voted for 2500 for a few reasons. First, it is easy to scale down to 2K if playing against someone who is just building an army. Second, I don't mind using a beefier force. Third, I'm not sure how many in the community have the resources to make 3K a standard game size. That calls for a significant financial commitment. I have the numbers for it but that's because I spent decades building up my first-born marine forces, who fit in to this game. Just a few thoughts as I think we should discuss as well as voting.

In-line with this, I think for the near future we should aim for 2000pts. This I think is more manageable for new players and building the community. It also gives a good stepping point for 2500 and 3000pt games and or specific events.
Another reason for this is the release schedule. There are a lot of new players that can't really build up right now in a meaningful way because a lot of kit still isn't released.
This isn't to say people can't play whatever they want, but rather shaping events or community play to keep this growing.

Thanks for weighing in. 2500 as standard could be good as it is easy to go up or down 500. Also fair point that not everyone has old first born marines they can repurpose for Heresy.

Great input, I definitely agree with slowly building up the point level so everyone can be included. *loud dakka noises* Nobody gets left behind! I’m hoping Heresy gets a Christmas Box this year. Could be a good way to expand our Legions.

I just started HH, and my 3k force cost just around 500$...but a large part of that is the starter box bringing in an expensive tank and 10 terminators Thr force I would actually want to run would be much more expensive and take longer
