CHTT 2023 will take place April 1-2 2023 in Ottawa, at the EY Centre near the airport, as usual. The event is a 5-round (3/2), 5-man WTC-rules event.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Registration Opens: Jan 9, 2023 at 8pm EST.
Refund deadline: March 4, 2023 at 8pm EST.
Book WITH FAQ deadline: March 18, 2023 at 8pm EST
List Submission deadline: March 18, 2023 at 8pm EST.
REGISTRATION:
As usual, registration will be on BCP only. The cost this year is $750 CAD per team. Non-player coaches can be registered by sending e-transfer for $70 CAD to canhammer.yt@gmail.com (please send also name of coach and team name with it). All registrations include lunches on both days.

We will be starting off at 24 teams, and will run a waitlist after that, expanding by 2 teams at a time if there is enough interest.

This year, we will only be allowing books that have already received their first FAQ. So if a codex comes out the week before the deadline, it is not likely going to receive its FAQ before the deadline. We are aware that a Balance Dataslate is usually released around the time of the event.
CAPTAINS & COACHES
Captain's duties are outlined in the Event Pack. Please pick a Captain that can use Discord fluently and will be active and present and responsive to votes and other things Captains have to do for this event. Captains should also have a working BCP to do pairings and scorings. Non-player coaches can substitute for the Captain in certain duties at TO discretion.
VENUE & HOTEL
The EY Centre is a huge venue right near the Ottawa Airport. Lunches are provided both days and are usually quite good. Water will be provided as well. There will be carpet and a bar both days. You CANNOT bring your own alcohol and will be removed from the event if you do. There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
Our usual hotel partner is the Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport. We have a block of 25 rooms there at $140 a night for double Queen. You can book this room block anytime up to 2 weeks before the event using CANHAM code at

PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES
We will be following all Ottawa Public Health restrictions and measures that are present at the time of the event. There are no vaccination checks or mask mandates this year unless OPH mandates these at the time of the event.
