I enjoyed this article as a reminder to do a better job of asking questions in game. I think it pairs well with the idea of playing intentionally and talking about what you are doing as the game goes on. "I'm moving these guys so they can see that unit..., this unit has a 7" charge... etc. I also feel like I need to get better about saying what a particular stratagem or ability actually does, rather than it's name. It's a good read for sure.
I played (and playtested) flames of war for years, where playing by intent is baked into the rules.
It relives so much stress when each turn is a collaboration between both players instead of a series of gotchas.
