Even as someone who plays Sigmar, Not a fan of Sigmar points. Marines on paper are big winners (well, maybe not BIG winners but you can probably break even on losing AoC if you use firstborn) but to take advantage of it you need to build kits in very specific overloaded ways that may be punted out of the game at a moment's notice if the stuff you take stops being free.
There's just such a huge gulf between free equipment and pointed equipment. THSS going up or down a couple points is a whole different world than they cost points or don't cost points. Today the squad is a hundred points cheaper, maybe in 6 months the experiment's over and I never touch them again.
Meh, too swingy, doesn't make me want to build kits with options for fear of having the floor dropped out by the time I finish painting them.

Immolator's dropping like 30 points makes me very excited but Sisters are gonna really struggle to stay on the board without AoC. CSM Terminators and abaddon points increases were obvious and mark of slaanesh going up by 5 makes sense given that it was basically an autotake on 90% of units. The time of mark of khorne chosen has come. Also heldrake should have gone down only because i just got one and it deserves to be good  |

I was selfishly happy that exorcists and immolators went down in points... am I the only one who loves the organ tanks? I think so lol

I think so lol It's been so long since I looked at the exorcist I couldn't remember what it's points used to be lmao 160 (with the only good gun) if you can believe it... totally not worth it at all... and it got it's toughness nerfed and it's gun nerfed too in the current book! I mean, I still run it because painting that friggin thing was a project for sure, but it was always a "well it's painted so might as well" choice rather than "this is great!" now it will be "it's painted and not THAT expensive and maybe someone will shoot it instead of my good stuff" |

For me:
I was expecting a small points cut for the SW, maybe around 30 points or so, you know enough to tweak some wargear or something. I still have to double check all the math but they dropped 250 points.... Holy crap GW. Almost everything I was taking got in the neighborhood of a 10% cut, and my Thunder Cav as configured dropped from 220 to 140 points for the same loadout... I'm still pinching myself cus I'm convinced I'm being Truman Show'ed right now. This list was already pretty solid but definitely couldn't hang with optimized tournament lists, so adding 1-2 whole units is going to be a massive uptick in firepower.
EDIT: After my detailed double check, my list as written is indeed down 250 points, and because of huge discounts on units that I had previously cut I can add at least 2 units back in, if not potentially 3.
Long Fangs / Devastators in particular had their wargear spectacularly changed. They went UP 5ppm, but the only weapon they pay for now is the Multi Melta at +10. Everything else is FREE! Quite seriously debating Quad/Quint Lascannon or Missiles which now cost 115/138 points respectively. Previously it was 155/188 points for this setup!

My Aeldari list basically doesn't change, the hike on farseers and warlocks is offset by the cut to Shroud Runners. I might have a couple extra points to tweak wargear but I wasn't really expecting this to change either because I wasn't taking the stuff I knew would be nerfed.
GSC got the expected Jackals nerf, which sucks but I don't own any so maybe there will be some on ebay now that I can pickup for cheap. The rest is pretty nice, but I was already looking fairly character light so the changes don't free up that many points. I'm still waiting on the Guard Codex to officially drop so I can fully evaluate my Brood Brothers options before I buy up to strike force strength.

So I just hit a very interesting "problem".
With so much wargear now being free for marines, when you get down to the last 10 or so points to spend in a list, you have nothing to buy, because almost no wargear costs points anymore....
My obsession with spending all on my points in every list might be harder than I thought now.... lol
