Ok so I've been aggressively digesting the Boarding Actions rules and it think there is some stuff in here I could see being carried forward into the next version of full on 40k.
While boarding actions does have chajges to loS, movement, measuring, and targeting/casualties.....I think those are more specific and thematic to fighting in closed hallways
The new rules I do see with potential to be carried forward are
1. Reducing stratagems to only the core ones, with possibly a small handful of faction specific ones (boarding action only allows CP Reroll, Insane Bravery, and Counterattack)
2. Greater importance of actions. Boarding Actions introduces the following actions that would be interesting in 40k
-an action to make an objective sticky if you control it with an obsec unit
-an action to fire overwatch when a unit moves into X distance and LOS (regardless of the phase it occurs in)
-an action to get +1 to hit when charged
3. Retaining the flexible force construction from Arks of Omen gt pack
I really dig the idea of giving up shooting now to trigger opportunity fire later...instead of ujits getting 2-3 rounds of shooting in one battle round

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that we would be getting additional stratagems in the coming Arks of Omens books?

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that we would be getting additional stratagems in the coming Arks of Omens books? They said there will be faction specific enhancements and stratagems for boarding Actions, yes. But also that it would be like 1-3 per faction.

In regards to the giving up shooting for overwatch, I can see it being 'balanced' by said overwatch would be more accurate than the version we're used to. Maybe hit on the units BS-1 (or even your normal BS) since instead of hurried fire against a charging opponent, the unit is ready and waiting. Because let's face it, every turn your units aren't shooting/attacking is a potential big liability towards you winning the game.
As for the fewer strats, in exchange I'd like to see more baked-in abilities or get the option to pay points for said upgrades. Like the Cryptek Arcana or wargear upgrades etc.

100% I want baked in abilities back
Why is a wireweave net a 10pt upgrade for a 1 per game abilities but a wireweave grenade is a 1CP strat that I can use every turn
No rhyme or reason

A Shock Prow is a 5 point upgrade that gives you a keyword, and then if you have the keyword you can use a stratagem.
Hateful.
