Just checking of i have missed something, or if other people have found an answer with this.
battle brothers. allied detachments.
do they cancel army specific rules.
if i put a knight in with my space marines do my space marines get combat doctrine?

I honestly don't know... I've seen arguments on both sides of the issue.

There's the combat doctrine rule as worded. So by default I would say no, in an allied army you don't get the bonus unless you can find a rule that specifically and directly overrides this, or you are only adding units with the keywords above.

The Wandering Heroes rule should protect you so long as your knight is a freeblade and in a superheavy aux detachment then it gets agents of the imperium
Something like a patrol of Votan though would void your rules

I didn't think superheavy auxiliary was a thing any more. I thought it was ark of omens with a possible allied detachment.
Tho it would make sense if rules like imperial agents and such went to the allied detachment.

In AoO it says you can take a single allied detachment consisting of either a patrol or super heavy auxiliary detachment
