I think as time goes on that's less and less controversial. The game changes too fast and has too many conflicting sources of truth to really be playable in paper alone.
And I've seen how beautiful a good digital distro can be- Infinity is an extremely complex game but the layered online wiki and infinity army make it eminently playable. And Corvus Belli is an insignificant fraction of GW's size so if they can afford to do that GW should be able to manage (I mean, Wahapedia is run by one guy lol initially as a hobby).

Yeah, think about how useful the keyword-lookup feature is on Wahapedia as a specific example, where it shows you all the unit in that faction that have a certain keyword. It's just immensely useful for know what you can use strats or abilities on.
Digital Rules have huge benefits without question, and I hope GW leans into digital delivery of rules even more-so than they have already.

Looking at how things rolled out for 9th, and how they have started the 6 month cycle of narrative/competive updates, the digital releases the munitorum (now free yay) and balance updates etc. it's going that way, but gw being as big as they are I can see how that change will be slow. the beurocratic red tape that they probably have to deal with would give me nightmares.
