Ok, so I have a question for the lot of you as I'm going crazy looking in the rules and can't find something that I swore was there.
Is there a limit on how many units of the same type I can bring? I could swear that there was a rule saying no more than 3 heroes/units of the same type in a 2000 point game, but hell if I can find it. Or is that a 40K rule, and I got it mixed up?

That is indeed a 40k rule.

Off the top of my head, 2000 point game allows up to 6 hero units. The restriction would be "unique" found on the warscroll or point chart

That's a good point. There are limitations, but they are on heroes, behemoths, and uniques. There is no "rule of 3" as in 40k.
Also, as a side point, if a behemoth unit gains battleline through a subfaction, it doesn't count toward the behemoth limit. So monster mashes are possible.

You didn't forget, artillery is fake news.
But the artillery matched play unit limit? Very real.
