Hello to everyone here I am brand new to warhammer 40k. Although I have painted some warhammer back in the day. I am currently enjoying making terrain pieces. I am wanting to pick an army out or killteam and get some painting in and hopefully be able to join in on some tournaments and local games. Would love to meet some awesome new people aswell along the way. Any advice / help in picking an army or killteam would be awesome

Welcome to the forum!
We're a really friendly community and I'm sure someone can get you rolling with kill team. (I'm more of a 40k guy)
I'm a firm believer in picking an army you like the look of (cuz you're going to be spending alot of time painting)... And the type of playstyle you like.

Welcome! Kill team and 40k have now become pretty distinct in terms of rules systems (none of the core rules or unit stats are the same) but the models can be used for both. Kill team is a great game to collect a small amount of models and get playing quickly. 40k has recently release “boarding action” rules for 500 point games but I have not actually seen anyone playing them yet.

hey welcome to the forums. we have a friendly community here. I agree where army wise you should pick something that's aesthically pleasing to you since yes, you will be painting lots of them lol. lore and army backstory/how they play can be important too. and while i don't play kill team, the 40k scene is pretty active here.
