Made my annihilation legion
Silent king is super expensive, but i think this would work. he's 470. a quarter of my army. But his Reroll bubble is handy. Destroyers lost their prefered enemy in a way. But this way keep things simple
Lords go with either the Destroyers or Heavy Destroyers depending on army threat. Heavy vs monsters or Normies vs infantry.
Getting the +1 to hit for being lead makes the destroyers Hitting on 2's with reroll from the king.
The Hexmark will hang out with the remaining 3 units that dont have a leader. His Relic treats all units within 6" as being led. and he is a lone operative. so as long as there are enough bodies around him he should not be shot.
The SKORPEKH LORD and SKORPEKH Destroyers are there for Counter tactics.

ooh... nice destroyer cult list!
I agree, the silent king is REAL pricey now but I too want to test him out to see if he's worth the points! (such a killer model, he can't sit on the shelf!)

So I just found this out and it surprised me ,again it could very much be an oversight (or who knows, as intended), but be careful with the Silent King as a central buff piece with his deadly demise d6+3 on 3 models. On the worse possible turn that unit dying and rolling 3x6s does 3d6+9 mortals to units around them. Each Menhir can go off on a 6 and so can the king, and they are not immune to their own damage so if one dies and explodes on a 6 then they unit takes the d6+3 and if that kills the other Menhir and you roll a 6 it also explodes.
It seems crazy but I guess they are were the silent king keeps all his gun powder??
Again it seems like it was a mistake but its not such an obvious one that "as intended" rules it out. It just seems like this list might make good use of his re-roll ones with the the bike wheel formation means each unit is within 6" of his when it explodes.
Or conversely charge him into die and deal a million mortals as models die and explode.

I do like that Scarabs whose special ability is to explode also have deadly demise for 1Mortal. Didnt realize that it can affect their unit.

Ya Deadly demise is per model with the rule so vehicle / unit that explode aren't immune to themselves, which was true in 9th too but there were only like 5 units that it effected.

Well that is to oppressive for my list. So. I have changed a few things. Got rid of the Silent King, But i figured its an annihilation Legion. should have some ANNIHILATION BARGES So i added 3 and added 3 more Skorpekh destroyers and gave the Skorpekh lord the Veil of darkness.
The Annihilation Barges are. nice. They upped the str of the main gun to 8. so its wounding infantry on 2/3s. And its Damage 2. Tesla. But its the ability that is nice. It always arcs (5+ for units within 3" take D3 Mortals) including the original. If you concentrate your fire with all three.

So...
Did a test game yesterday with this list, vs Dark Angels
Few notes. due to the new rules for cover. Annihilation barges are dope. AP0, so units with a 3+ save dont get cover. Doesnt sound too exciting but its a big improvement from previous additions. You'll likely see more tesla weapons at games.
Flat 6 Damage and RANGE 48" on the Heavy Destroyers . Adds up.
Destroyer lord making Lethal hits on 5+ also nice. especially with a unit of 6 (18 shots) that is average 6 auto wounds.
Its a tough list.
Destruction 100 felt right

also change of note on the Veil of Darkness. you use it at the end of your opponents turn. and they come in in your movement phase. SO they dont heal. and if you go first you cant do a jump to get across the board for shenanigans.

I as a game on art of war where they assumed you couldn't do it but were say it was a big one that still needs a designer comment.
