So Knights and indirect firing units went up in price, but kept all the same rules. Good, because I don't think that Knights shouldn't have true los after all they are firing primaries sized rounds at targets. To be honest I think everything should be if you can see it you can shoot it. If it's in terrain-1 to hit and the target gets cover which makes everything simpler.

Only change to Necrons is that the Construct went from 470 to 540. Now more expensive than the Silent King and over 100 points more than the T.Vault. I might test it out later at some point but it's probably going back on the shelf.

"with an extra errata clearing up a few more discrepancies in the Indexes towards the end of July – though this won’t contain balance changes."
From the sound of it they're going through all the weird index cards and bringing them in line with each other. We will see if this means csm remember they can shoot out of their rhino windows lmao

lol... they increased the cost of the Harpy by 60 points....
ummm GW... you realize the Harpy is terrible right? like no one was bringing them in 10th?
Biovores is the only other nid increase, which is totally fair.
for some reason they still think screamer killers are worth 55 points more than a haruspex. screamer killers have 4 less wounds, 2 less toughness, and 8 less attacks! ummm okay?

So the solution to Towering was points. Not sure that that helps. Seems they are loathe to fix rules?

So the solution to Towering was points. Not sure that that helps. Seems they are loathe to fix rules? They probably don't want to have to reprint/errata core mechanics this early. I also... question that this is the right move. What I anticipate happening is a lot of tables/communities/events will 'adapt' by making all the terrain largely immune to the effects of towering. This leaves towering units paying a severe points premium for something that is either extremely good and borderline broken on some tables, but literally useless on others. Unfortunate, especially for Knights who are already a classic pubstompy gatekeepy army under ideal conditions.

So the solution to Towering was points. Not sure that that helps. Seems they are loathe to fix rules? I think they want to see what the rules themselves do first... the edition is barely two weeks old so they probably need a bit more testing, probably seeing if points corrects the worst of it... with the caveat that they're poised to adjust indexes by the end of the month as needed. but even they knew already that indirect and unlimited strands of fate per phase was WAY too much!

Ya so look like towering on average went up 15% of the model cost on gun platform models. Indirect went up 20-40% depending on model and how under costed it was before ( cough desolation squad cough)
Then adjustments to eldars 2 big under cost units wriath knights +100 to 475 and fire prisms +25 to 150 and adjustments to nids spore mine generators since it seems mines scoring is intended and being able to "teleport" a unit to any part of the board is strong.
Marine speciality squads look to be up too. Black templar sword brethner are up? Grey knights purgation squads are up? Not sure why on this one.

Finally we are free from the yoke of the oppressive sword brother metagame

I think the sword brethren squad size went up, not actually the cost per model.
Purgation squads fire indirect right?
The strands of fate change, while I understand it needed to be nerfed, it is annoying that they didn't just make it like miracle dice where it's one per unit per phase. At this rate some games you probably won't even go through your starting 12.

I'm no expert on aeldari but I've done enough math to know that the odds of getting 12 out of 12 usable results are pretty low. I think most of those rolls worth keeping will get used, and perhaps even come up short, in a fair number of games. But on occasion ... "Vegas, baby"!
