I have a 'few' marines sitting in my pile of shame. Most of them are there cause i cant seem to pick a colour scheme to paint them. or ill paint one or two and then stop, and change the paint scheme.
Any ideas how to overcome this struggle?
Any suggestions to rare chapters that would be cool to see on the table?

Yikes! You present quite a challenge! Are you a person who is guided by lore or just looking for something that looks cool? Ye olde book "How to Paint Space Marines" has a lot of chapters that follow the recipe of "pick animal or weapon and pick colour. Combine names et voila" ...haven't seen anyone running Crimson Fists in a while...
Good Luck!

I always thought the Minotaurs had a really cool look. You don't see a lot of bronze among loyal Space Marines.

Sometimes lifting a colour scheme from nature works really well. If there's a particular animal or plant you Luke, you can always borrow its colours.

Dusk Raiders, slate grey with a red right arm. Original colors of the Death Guard before their off-white & green Pre-Heresy coloring. It'd be cool to have a "lost fleet"; but trying to fit primaris models into there would be a challenge in reconciling a few thousand years of being lost.

I have made colour decisions in the past based on what I either have or have not painted in the past. I like painting red, so I have a few red armies. But for my Daughters of Khaine I specifically wanted to paint with Purple and Teal, because they are two colours I have never really used before.
Never painted in realistic tones before? Go Raptors for an olive green.
Want to paint in primary colours? All your standard marine chapters.
Also, many of the big marine chapters have multiple colour schemes. Deathwing, Ravenwing, Sanguianry Guard, Death Company, no reason your home-brew chapter can't do that too. My head cannon for my own chapters has the first company ceremonially wearing black, so ideally my terminators would be black, unlike the rest of my army.
