I thought everything went quite well today. The BCP app being fully used for sign ups, list submission, matchups and score submission was great to see in action. I'm going to try to convince Mike at Nexus to do the same after seeing it work so well like that.
Thought the table setups were solid, and opponents were great of course. The space was well utilized. Also the rounds seemed to go quite smooth. Thought the prizing as all store credit was smart, and random draws ensured everything was fair.
Seemed like a success to me - Great job!

I thought it all went pretty well. Started a bit behind, but for a first ever event, not a bad shake by any stretch.
I also liked using BCP to submit everything, was good to utilize the technology available. Tables were great, though I'd have liked to play on one of the ones I brought, lol. biased in liking my own terrain I suppose.
Beside it being a little warm by the end of the day, I think the space was great; the only thing I think would be a huge boon to the gaming area would be if Mark got a wide "bar top" for the half-wall at the edge. If it was 24" wide with a lip on both sides, then we could stack armies on top of it to save space on tables.

So I wanted to take a minute and let the tournament sink in.
Overall a really fun tournament that had all the hiccups of a first try.
Things I liked:
- Space was great , lots of room around tables and under tables for boxes - Use of Warhammer Apps - Best Coast pairing was amazing and Tabletop battle really worked well together. I would suggest linking them in the player pack and suggesting that players load them up when lists are locked - Locking Lists 2 weeks out, I know it kinda sucked for Necrons and Admech players but it was nice going into the tournment feeling like I knew most of the big combos etc - Loved playing a stright up 2000 pts RT style tournament, I do like the wacky one now and then but this felt nice. - Outside of some growing pains the posted schedule looked good in terms of running smoothly, i know there were some hiccups at the start which compressed the last game of the day - GW's Strenght of Schedule tie breaker, I will admit while this ended up hurting me a little ( Nice work Keegan) I did like to see S.o.S being the major tie breaker. - Prizes - Draw is always the way to go when you can, stops feeling from spilling onto the tables too much. Also big thanks to Mark and SBT give back 100% in prize support (20$ x 18 players for 360$ - prizes being 5x $72 = $360)
Things to be improved
- I think having missions printed off would really help. I think this has already been commented on. - Terrian can always see some improvement , thaks to people that brought some. There were still 2-3 tables that could have used a boost. - BCP setting - not sure if this is possible but I know BCP did a random match up of Win vs Win and Loss vs Loss for pairing. However I know in Game 2 there were a couple tabled where sub 35 point wins ended up playing 95+ point wins, I know a win is a win but I think it made for some more akward game 2s. Not sure if there is a way to fine tune BCP to look at Wins and Points. - Use of Servo skull as a mission, I know its in the pack but again that mission is feels bad and has major issues with going first vs second. I know we are getting new missions in the new year so I'm less worried about it sticking around and messing up scoring.

The mission pack is definitely something that slipped my mind in the prep leading up, personally I think I need to fix that with a checklist for event prep in the future for myself. Terrain is something I'm hoping to get sorted out before the event I want to run around April (which will be more competitively minded), as for pairings, I matched based on gw guidelines, but I think they definitely need the battle points factored in for better pairings, considering they only consider Win-loss and SoS rn. Finally I 100% agree on servo skulls being wonky, it was intentional cuz I wanted to have a more fun silly mission as the rd2 but in future I think I'll stick to missions that have less moving parts since it seems like there were a few tables where the mission was confusing and/or unclear
