Hey all, currently building up my custodes and really wanting to use a land raider but I think the proteus looks cooler. Just wondering if it’s gonna be a problem me using the proteus as the normal venerable land raider at clubs and such. (Maybe this should’ve been a DM to Shannon but I’d like input from others just in case someone would have an issue)

If the guns are the same (or converted to be as such) I don't think it's an issue having a differently shaped, but same size chassis.
rule of cool and all that lol
plus be up front with your opponents so no confusion.

as with all proxies in the player pack, you just cannot take advantages by modelling differently, so if you are trying to hide it, you pretty much have to be able to hide a whole landraider.

The tracks exposed around the whole landrider is so 1990s I love it. Be a cool conversion to do that to a “normal” landraider.
You would probably do better in converting a spartan. Than using a proteus.

I agree with Chris re. using a Spartan for scale. But I always enjoy it when people want to go outside the standard to give their army a personal twist on the aesthetic. Good luck with the project however you execute it.

Yeah I saw the spartan as an option I know it’s a little bigger than the main land raider but that might be for the best. I think aside from that the main difference is the 4 lascannons per side as opposed to the usual 2 from a land raider.

Yeah reduce the lascannons to 4 , from 8 and shorten the nose so that it ends befor the tracks of the landraider |
