I would like to start a Drop in style Warhammer 40k Wrath and Glory campaign at Nexus.
Just getting a pulse of the community to see if anybody would be interested. As this would be Drop in style, no commitment is required. Just drop a LIKE or a Comment to let me know if this would interest you.
Here are some of my ideas for running this story:
WHO : Drop ins, either come with your character or pick up a pre-made character to pilot. I will be the Dungeons Master, I have some experience with DM'ing DnD, having done 2 campaigns as a DM and a few as a player.
WHAT: Wrath and Glory Warhammer 40k RPG. Using miniatures and terrain as much as possible. Would like to incorporate some different sessions in the style of 40k where you play as a character in a 1000 point battle for example, or Kill Team style, using the rules of different systems. If you have your own miniatures for sure it would help as my collection is mostly Astra Militarum and Imperium. Therefore the player characters will be Imperial's.
WHERE: Hopefully Nexus during DnD nights. (TBD)
WHEN: Details to be figured out, maybe once a month or twice a month.
HOW: The system is very friendly, therefore META gaming kinda breaks the game. Would be more about Roleplay with some combat, creating a story, not about beating the game and breaking the game with stats. Will have a THREAD with "The Story So Far" for those that drop in. If you know the system, we will start at Tier 1 and as you gain experience you can go up tiers and "retire" a character for a higher tier, or if your character dies you keep the experience gained to access levels or tiers.
Gearing up towards a later start. Here is some basic info for your characters.
We will start at Tier 1 and may include higher tiers, up to tier three and four. Here are the Archetypes that we can use for tier one.
SISTER HOSPITALLER (Healing Cleric class)
A battlefield healer of both mind and soul. You ministrate to the injured with great Medicae exeprtise and inspire the pious with your cavernous well of faith.
MINISTORUM PRIEST (Bard Paladin class)
You preach and enforce the Imperial Cult. You lead the faithful to execute His will, inflaming faithful hearts with your impassioned oration.
IMPERIAL GUARDSMAN (Fighter Archer class)
A footsoldier in the galaxy's greatest army. You are one of trillions of raw recruits trained to stand and fire against the monstrous enemies of humanity.
INQUISITORIAL ACOLYTE (Leader class)
Conscripted to aid an Inquisitor, you identify and destroy threats to the Imperium.
INQUISITORIAL SAGE (Scholar class)
You are a bureaucratic savant, an expert at sourcing and judiciously applying knowledge to serve the Imperium and your own ends.
GANGER (Rogue class)
A member of the Imperial underclass, your life is rife with violence and hardship. Your identity is tied to a territorial gang, a brutal reflection of lower hive life.
