I'm just starting a space wolves army, and I want to know if its better to have smaller 5 man squads or take 10 man squads?

its usually better to take 10 man squads so you can get more special weapons, but alot of people seem to have good luck with razorback spam, so either way works, just different army styles

well if they have combat squads (like most marines) Im not sure since i dont know about space wolves. then you can take 10 man squads and break them up to 5 man squads if you need to. More squads means you can take more objective is need be, but if you take more smaller squads you can take more rhinos or razor backs so it matter what you want to do

The best build IMO is a mix of 5 man squads with melta / banner in Las/Plas razorbacks and 9 man squads with melta / banner with a WG PF / Combi-melta in a rhino.
Usually the better combination I've found.

why 9 man squads, the extra marine allows you another special weapon, free.

9 marines + wolf guard = 10 models Rhinos can only hold 10 models, so the 10th marine means the squad can't use the rhino.

9 marines + wolf guard = 10 models Rhinos can only hold 10 models, so the 10th marine means the squad can't use the rhino. This. The WG gives you what you would lack with the 10th marine, Leadership 9 and a Powerfist with 2 attacks. it's proven to be better 10/10 times then the free meltagun.
