First if a something says they get a 2+ invul save against every psychic attack do they get it against an attack that says they don't get any saves?
I wasn't sure so i ended up shooting a strom bolter instead of opening that can of worms lol
Second Is there a rule that says you have to shoot at the closest unit unless you pass a ld test? I thought there was but i haven't really seen people use it and just shoot what ever, i use to do it but when no one else did i just stopped but i thought i would ask

your nemesis force weapons activate with a psychic power... so yeah, the daemon gets a 2+....

oh i meant warp rift, Int test or be removed as a casualty. it says not saving throws
and im glad deamons can take something that gives them a 2+ save against grey knights cause grey knights have too many things against deamons

1) I don't know if it was covered in an FAQ, but I do believe Blessing still allows them their save since it states that it provides the save against any psychic power or force weapon. The key word being "any"
2) I'd have to check my rulebook (which is at home) but I believe the Ld test to shoot something other than closest model was in 4th Ed, but they dropped it in 5th.

Blessing only works against psychic powers & force weapons that target the Daemon, it's not like a Psychichood. Hammerhand targets the unit casting it, not the Daemon so therefore no save is taken. A psychic power that targets the Daemon would get a save against it since it is targeting the Daemon itself (or unit it's with in some cases) I'm still of the opinion that any powers that target a Daemon with Blessing will give the Daemon the 2++ against it. And never trust customer support for answers They usually just make it up. Or you'll get a different answer depending on who you talk to.

Yeah.....those customer service guys don't have any continuity. Was any ruling on this made with Jaws of the World Wolf? That would be the precedent I would follow.

Did a check of all 3 FAQ's and it has never been addressed in any of them that I found. So either it's never been an issue, or wasn't considered relevant to be added...though they've added some "You really needed to FAQ that?" things before.
Also, checked my rulebook, and didn't see the old rule where you had to pass a Ld-test to shoot something other than the closest model. So as I mentioned earlier, I'm pretty sure that was a 4th Ed rule.

shooting at an infantry unit that is farther away then anouther would take a target priority check in 4th ed. basicly just a leadership to see if you could shoot at what you wanted to. you could always shoot at tanks or monsterous creatures though.

well it's pretty clear that the daemon gets the 2++ against any psychic power... that would include any psychic power cast at it... (hammerhand obviously is cast on the unit... not the daemon... as mentioned above)

oh ya i never thought hammer hands would make them put on the 2++ save.
My main question was, deamons get a 2++ save against any psychic power, and warp rift is an int test or be removed as a casualty no saving throw. Both are pretty specific.

I would personally say yeah, like any power that directly effects them I'd say they get a 2+
