Newish player looking to participate in my first tournament and wondering if "The Great Crusade" would be a good starter tournament. Also curious how the event works as iv never played a " Crusade " game before or any tournament for that matter. Any and all info and input is very much appreciated

It's a grat tournament, and ment to be beginner friendly. Crusade format is more if a local thing, but what it means is: 1250 point army, and your Warlord must be a named character from your faction. This adds the narrative flair of that character being "on crusade." Some of the missions may be custom, but that just affects primary, and they still fit within normal 40k rules. The last game of the day is the boss fight. This is where your named Warlord gets paired up another named Warlord in a duel to the death.
