Well might as well keep it going! Here is V2 of the fandex for the Confederation of Independent Systems www.mediafire.com/file/x8btmafhav7um1b/10th_edition_index_-_Separatists.pdf/fileFeel free to take a look, rip it apart, and tell me what I should have done instead Power level I'm trying to go where the Galactic Empire index ended up - mid-tier not oppressive. I've stolen borrowed from existing codexes, namely necron and tau. The B1's I know are terrible... but lorewise I couldn't really make them any good, just annoying to put down. Grevious is inspired by Szeras in alot of ways, so you'll notice some similarities there. The AAT battle tank is kind of a toned down hammerhead, etc. etc. in the end it will come down to points (coming shortly), which I'll start high and test my way to something more balanced ................... points V1: www.mediafire.com/file/6zhp3tkgv7q9k0d/10th_edition_points_separatists.pdf/file

Droids regen? OK that can extend the life of various B1 units.
Characters overall seem pretty potent particularly the Super Tactical Droid giving hit and wound rerolls.
B1s get T4 and 3+? I'd have thought it would be the other way around considering they're supposed to be cheap cannon fodder. Coupled with the flamer and missile launcher options these guys are necron warriors on steroids.
The B2s are scary. These guys will tear apart anything that isn't a vehicle and with T7, the FnP, damage reduction, regen and the ability to get an invul from the character enhancement, you just can't kill them. I can see a rather hefty point pricetag for them however.
BX droids. To use another Necron comparison, these guys are better Lychguard. Faster, infiltrate and stealth capabilities, ranged options and can redeploy if the enemy pulls a fast one.
Droidekas almost seem like ranged Wraiths. High mobility around the battlefield, god survivability but mostly a threat to infantry.
STAPs serve a similar purpose though I can see them being cheaper as they aren't as tough even if they have fly and are faster.
Geonosian Warriors are deep strikers from hell that eat MEQs for breakfast.
The Magnaguard are alright but considering they only move 6' and lack an invul, people would put Grievous with the BXs instead.
Spider droid feels a bit odd since it's fear ability requires it to be up close and personal but it's not a good melee fighter while wanting to stay at max range.
The Enforcer is a transport with some massive teeth while being very hard to put down given the damage protection and stat line.
The battle tank might be shorter ranged but it packs all kinds of punch. Toss a B2+STD along with some support droids inside to pop out as needed and this thing will just roll into the center of the battlefield killing everything in it's path.

Yes, points will be the deciding factor... and yes, some of these are "elite" units, but are extremely limited in their unit sizes. Four survivable dudes are great... but you can only bring four. B1's are survivable but garbage, shooting at 4+ and having no way to really get pumped up to warrior levels. No lethal hits, and can't hit the broad side of a barn most times. So a full 20 in rapid fire range vs. marines - 20 hits, 10 wounds, 5 failed save - 2 1/2 dead marines on average dice in optimal conditions. Vs. anything tougher than a marine? good luck! B2's are scary, and will be "heavy infantry" which is more like near vehicles, and will be priced accordingly. BX's are again limited by unit size, cannot ALL take an invul... so once they start dropping they go down fast. Droidekas are essentially shooty versions of wraiths. But can only be in units of four, so survivability is lower. STAP's are essentially tomb blades Geonosians unfortuantely are going to drop and die, but that's what they're there for. On the drop turn they will get 18 sonic blaster shots, equaling 9 hits, and six wounds at -1, averaging one and a half dead marines. The sonic cannon will get four shots, equaling 2 hits and decent odds at killing one marine. So average dice is 2-3 marines outside of cover. The horrifying arachnid rule is to boost the flamer version of the spider droid so that it's an actual choice vs. the anti-tank versions. Plus it might... maybe come up if people rush it? Yeah probably not. Magna guard are higher toughness, better save and an additional wound and better in melee than the commandos, so I think they're pretty awesome Again... will need testing for sure.

In regards to the B1s being garbage, either of the Tactical droids will have them hitting equal/better (reroll hits and wounds) than warriors. And with the ability to wipe out cover for 1 CP, that -1 AP matter a lot more than most might think. Lethal hits can be useful for warriors but the lack of AP (unless you take the short range gun) means that even with LH, it's very hard to harm vehicles etc.
Honestly the biggest potential issue I see with the Magna guard is the 6' movement compared to Grievous's 8'. So they'd need to advance to not slow him down. And if they do advance then the unit can't charge.

V2 is up in the first post.
I've changed the save of the B1's to 4+ (so now they'll be the same points as necron warriors rather than more expensive)
I put Grevious' FNP to 5+ instead of 4+ (cuz you know... he can't be as good as Szeras lol) and dropped an attack. At least now he doesn't have to be 260 points to start, which was where I was pointing him - essentially the hive tyrant with upgrade - which gives a tyrant 5+/4+ FNP when injured, same save and invul, attacks (tyrant twin linked) but significantly higher toughness and higher wounds. He'll probably be around 200 now.
Added a in combat only invul to the magnas... dropped the FNP on the commandos to the same basic 6+ the other lesser droids get, so they'd be an in-between elite choice and balance out against the magnaguards
