So been playing around on army builder with the necromunda gangs. i dont know much about the game and since most gangs are about the same at the beginning other then starting weapons i thought i would post a prospected gang i was thinking about and see other peoples opinions.
Gang Gorn
Leader (Scar), knife, club, plasma pistol
heavy (Venom), Knife, las pistol and heavy plasma gun.
3 x gangers(Fang, Claw and Tail) with knife and las guns
5 x juve(Newt, Salamander, Skink, Toad and Frog) with knife, club and las pistol
i have 10 points left over i was going to give the heavy a club but i thought it would be worthless

Well I have no idea what I'm doing, but I also made a gang...
The Orkses Gang (based off of Goliaths and using Ork models)
Leader: Ragnor - Laspistol, knife, power fist
Heavy: Harg - heavy stubber, knife
Heavy: Waag - heavy stubber, knife
3 Gangers: Mok, Dok and Torg - shotgun, knife
Ganger: Chef - flamer, knife
3 Juves: Arg, Norg and Yug - laspistol, knife
the Juves are going to be the slugga boyz, Chef is a burna boy, the gangers are shoota boyz, Harg & Waag are lootas, and Ragnor is a Nob

Looks like a sweet set up there! Sadly, you'd have to make Chef one of your Heavies, as gangers can't start with special weapons until they learn the specialist skill (a techno skill). Otherwise it looks like lots of fun! Would love to shoot it out with my Wych gang against this.

And I'm pretty sure you can't start with a Powerfist, unless something seriously changed.

i think, i dont know but i think you have to start with the house weapons. and if you change chef to a heavy i think you can have 2 or less heavys. But it does look like a good list.
I forgot to mention mine is based on Escher, and are all going to be lizardmen. Im using skinks for my juves and older saurus for everyone else unless i can find a better thing for the leader thats not too big. eschers are all about agility and close combat so i want them to be stealthy so i dont want too big of models

Okay, Tommy's informed me I have to stop cheating now... ;D
So my real stuff is:
Leader: laspistol, flamer, chainsword, knife
3 gangers with autopistol, shotgun, manstopper shells, knife
2 heavies with autopistol, heavy stubber, knife
3 juves with autopistol, knife
We rolled my territories too (Tommy watched my rolls): settlement, chem pit, archeotech, and two water stills.

Lookin' good! Though might I suggest swapping one of your heavy stubbers to a grenade launcher to start with? They're great fun and sometimes a little on the random side! (Sound orky enough?) Also, may as well drop the laspistol for spare parts as you can't use a 2nd close combat weapon with the flamer.
Now it's time to Waagh, boyz.

spare gun is for the inevitable running out of ammo for the flamer.... given I have to test every time I use it... and given I have to rely on my dice rolling....

I agree with Tom, go with a grenade launcher if it is on your house list.

are you using the origonal rules or those updated one that tommy found? cause if its the updated the heavy plasma gun is like 45 bucks cheaper lol

just to give everyone an idea on what the list changes would be form the origonal to the updated vertion here is my updated vertion list if we decide to do that one
Gang Gorn
Leader (Scar), knife, chain sword, plasma pistol
heavy (Venom), Knife, las pistol and heavy plasma gun.
3 x gangers(Fang, Claw and Tail) with knife, las guns and clubs
5 x juve(Newt, Salamander, Skink, Toad and Frog) with knife, club and las pistol
the changes are few but with the extra cach from the reduced priced heavy plasma i would get clubs for my gangers and upgrade the club to a chain sword for my leader
and i dont have anyone who would be playing to watch my rolls so i will have to wait to get my territories

Yeah, the community stuff I haven't had a chance to go through to see what kind of silly updates whoever has done - so for the moment, just stick to the newest version on the GW site. It's balanced in regard to starting equipment if you really look at it.
And remember, you're not necessarily supposed to have everything you might want. You can trade between gangs after your first game played.
Also, if you want to play in the league, just leave your name, gang name and gang house with either me or Mike, as well as your gang rating so we can keep a list of who is where. We'll get it posted up at Nexus, likely at the back where the maps used to go so people can see, and we'll keep a running total.
We'll say two game per week starting today, and you can't play the same person twice in a row, as per the standard skirmish campaign house rules.
