Do you have any suggestions to capture objectives I never seem to win those games.

Well, the last time I checked only Troops choices can capture objectives. I'd suggest taking more or larger groups of troops.
How many Troops choices do you normally take?

usually 5 or 6 depends on the points really.

Count on having to hold those objectives for turn five, so they'd better be in striking distance of the objective turn four..... so basically count backwards from where you need them at the end to plan their movement....
Also remember that you only need to hold one more objective than your opponent to win... don't try to hold them all... if you make sure you have something attacking (or tank shocking) your opponent's objective sitters, then they don't get the objective... if you contest theirs and hold yours, you win...
you have plenty of troops, so you have enough to hold objectives... make sure you make your opponent's troops a priority target in objective games... it's not many lists that will have 5-6 troop choices unless their hordes....

As mentioned above, I don't know which army you play Garrett, but certainly for armies whose troops are perhaps considered subpar, the concept of contesting all and controlling one is crucial, rather than necessarily controlling all.
This might allow you to stock up on more dangerous units by keeping points spending low on your troops. Regardless, I think it's still important to maintain 4 troops units (for table quarters in tournaments, for example) but it may not be necessary to maximize the troops units' numbers or spend points on expensive equipment upgrades. Certainly, that's the approach I take with my Tau who have cheap and relatively unimpressive troops choices.

I play chaos. I think I need to work on my list though. I lost to Necrons.

Don't believe the internet hype.... losing to necrons doesn't automatically mean you have a bad army list or that you must have played wrong....
Should anyone who has a necron army automatically expect to lose 100% of their games? That's a little unrealistic isn't it??
Necrons have problems with their current codex in that it makes them have one or two builds that actually work... but make no mistake, those builds can work just fine....
When the new dex hits in November.... oh man.....

One more question, can non troop squads stop the other team from getting the points from that objective? Eg. If my biker goes in can it stop a troop squad from keeping the objective. I was thinking of using a unit of bikers last turn run into an objective.

Yeppers. Contesting tactics are, imho, more important than control tactics.

Heres what you do: 1. play blood angels 2. play Death Company list (can't take objectives but stay with me) 3. Table the opponent 4 (optional) succumb to the black rage! ;D
