Not all forgeworld rules are properly play tested so some do lack a certain balance. But given the way the game seems to be going these days...who needs balance?

It's based off the current imperial guard codex so it should be pretty much balanced. but... so true

The rules seem somewhat complex compared to most codexes out there. Why do you want to use these rules? If you’re interested in that particular theme why not use the guard codex and paint/model them as renegades? You said yourself the renegade’s codex is based off the guard codex.
