Ok so a couple questions came up during the tournament,
The eldar weapon that is a blast if it hits something it must take difficult/dangerous terrain tests before moving. If it hits a vehicle that a unit is in if the unit dissembarks do they have to take the test?
Also can a Grandmaster, or other character for that matter, join a unit of henchmen in a chimera? I had always put him in there at the start of the game but was told he can't start in the chimera.
one last thing i wanted to make sure of was that if a unit doesn't have frag grenades had a character with frag grenades it doesn't let the rest of the unit use them right? as in they have to hit at int 1 if assaulting into cover

Question 1 I would have to say that since the unit in side wasn't actually hit by the weapon it wouldn't suffer the effects
Question 2....I don't have an answer for that one at the moment.
Question 3 the answer is that only models armed with grenades benefit from them. So it only one model has them, than it is the only one not reduced to Init 1 for the first round.

Characters can freely join squads at the start of the game. Eldar farseers start the game in Falcons or Wave Serpents nearly 100% of the time. Marine characters are also seen inside transports all the time. What would give the idea that that couldn't be done?

At a tournament there can sometimes be different than usual instructions for how to set up models or how they enter play.
If a scenario asked for all HQ to be deployed while troops are held in reserve (or vice versa) then under those conditions NO the HQ could not join the troop squad as the scenario conditions demands that the two groups enter play at different times.
But under standard play, Matt's right.

Grey Knight characters -can- start in Henchmen transports because Chimeras can specifically hold Terminator armor.
Otherwise Rhinos and Razorbacks obviously may not hold Terminator armor as per usual.

Just remember though that a character wearing terminator armour takes up TWO spots instead of one.
