All but one list are now in... which means comp matchups can be accomplished... at present we're at odd numbers which means (if no one takes the last spot and none of the people who said they're planning on showing up on the day AND everyone who's signed up and submitted a list shows up!) that the last to be scored list will play the ringer army so that I'm not slowing everything down the morning of...
So we should be able to have a quick start on Saturday morning.... I'll be there at 9 AM to get any last minute things done... dice roll at 10...
...oh and please plan to arrive by the 9:30 mark... registration with this many people can be a bit of a pain... and we have to still confirm everything the morning of, so if everyone can be there and registering by around 9:30 it means that for sure we can get moving on time...
plus you're going to want to get a peek at the scenarios ahead of time... you know, like your opponent is going to do
- and please bring more than one copy of your list!!!!! If your opponent wants a copy for the game to check things, it's totally his right to request it, and a matter of being a good sport, being transparent with your list, etc.
- and please ensure that your list is clearly written / typed out, with all of the upgrades and point costs CLEARLY indicated by your units... Victory Points is used with many of these missions... you don't want to be spending all your time doing math to figure out just how many points that squad actually was (in a lot of cases, the margin of victory is not huge.. every squad WILL matter)
Scenarios will be on the table at 9 AM when I arrive... From 9 til 10 you're free to read them... (just leave them at the table okay?)
Terrain is SET for the tables... you cannot move terrain around at all... special items will have their own movement rules of course and may move about during the game.
There are special items for each table (storage containers, squigs, pistol wielding cowboy grots, etc.) that have to remain on the table when you're done - there's going to be a spot to put them after, indicating what should be there.
We'll be setting up all the tables on Friday night... if there is a terrain emergency and we need more stuff, I'll post something here asking... Mike says we've got it covered terrain wise, but if I start yelling "help help" you knowwe he miscalculated that!
