am debating whether or not to post a scenario a week until the tourney, or just leave it as a surprise....

poll?
EDIT: i think posting them before will allow faster games (as we know what we have to do before hand)

part of me wants to see them and the other part wants them to be surprize. with 15 tables, each with a different scenario not like you could tailor your army to get max points at each of them since there are so many. But then again it would be like christmas, what crazy stuff are we going to have to do at this table lol

Do suprise or people will get there army adapt to the scenario you pick... Also its not fair for people not on this site...

you should post a dozen or two ideas and then just pick the ones that work the best, as long as nothing like the christmas scenarios where the winner is determined by luck. If the scenarios are posted up first we can see if theres holes in them that would give people advantages. Also it can be good if people tailor their list then you change them slightly day of if you want to be mean.

What you could do is post the scenarios at nexus then everyone could see. As well I agree with danydaigle it isn't fair forr people on this sight so you should also post the comp scoring at nexus.

Don't let us see the scenarios until the day of the tournament- when we're actually playing them. The game is all about luck, so if you happen to get bad luck on a scenario that leaves the opportunity for such... guess what! Bad luck. *shrug*
And honestly this tournament is for those who use the forums, hence the 40k club championship... the "club" being the forum group, so if they are unwilling to come check the forums- it's their loss.

Well I guess Tom has a point with the luck thing. It also makes it difficult to make lists. You have to think of what the scenarios might be. It makes it so you would have to sort of mix between hevay support fast attack troops elites hq... Anyways it will be alot of fun either way

FYI - the scenario of the month on the Astro site has been the only scenario they've posted for at least a year now...
And yes it is a club championship for the site, which has allowed me to have some kind of "creative control" over how the tourney is structured, organized and ran... if it flops, well yeah, it's all on me... and maybe some of these ideas might not be all that great, but I'm hoping it'll be fun... those who bring standard "netlists" though are going to be rather disappointed I think, mainly because these won't be your standard book scenarios...
i'll keep the scenarios a surprise... and even if someone ordered the discs, there's 40+ scenarios, each 2-3 pages long... you'd never be able to prepare for them all (or know what six you'd be playing over the weekend)

Yah that's a good idea to keep it a secret.

how long are the games going to be, I know we have 3 per day but is it standard 2 hours or longer? the reason is I want to add another 30 orcs to the list (120 in total) but I'm not sure I'll have enough time to move them if its only two hours.
