the reason they charge so high prices is because we still pay them, they haven't hit the point were every gamer just won't pay it and would rather not include it or build it themselves.
In GWs defence it is a company, companies are designed to make as much money and its hard to run a big company that cares about every little compliant. Its even harder to try and be a business executive of a table top war-game, the two things don't mix as well as we'd all like.

That point may be coming though, as multiple companies are producing good miniatures that could be used as replacements for GW's at lower prices.
But overall time will tell. I've already rid myself of GW and invested back into Privateer Press. I just had enough of their games and the prices.

I agree with that... One example is the mangler squig. Way to expensive so people are just going to make there own models.
