Just so everyone knows, they are both up at the GW website.

I had a look at the Tyranid FAQ/Errata and though I am glad GW finally made some rulings the FAQ/Errata is a bit disappointing after 5 1/2 months after the nid codex. Most of the FAQ should have been done within a month easy as they were straightforward things.
There are lots of good amd expected rulings. But some things are still missing. Does a Hive Tyrant with Hive Commander have the reserve roll bonus apply if the Tyrant is still off-board (no answer). It would have been nice if GW would errata the pheromone trail so that it works even if the lictor is not yet on the table or fixed the trygon tunnel to make it useful - didn't happen.
I was surprsied that GW decided that Shadow in the Warp does not effect psykers in vehicles (transports must have needed a boost). SITW is only 12" as it is. Also a tyranid prime cannot join a group of warriors in a spore pod.
Well, glad the FAQ is finally out and it is good to have rulings on some of the areas. I just hoped for (although did not really expect) more after 5 1/2 months.

Definitely good to finally have answers to most of the questions that both Codexes have caused...but agreed, the Tyranids needed theirs long before now

yeah.... but at least we've finally got an answer on doom affecting units in transport which was a silly debate... also no double hive commander bonus... but hive commander stacks with alien cunning... you know if you've got the points to have a tyrant AND a swarmlord in an army!!! oh, and in case you want to just jump directly: www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1240364a_FAQ_Tyranids_2010.pdf

I also find some of the Blood Angels rulings regarding Furious Charge a bit odd.

I also wish they had clarified how Shadow in the Warp was to work with Eldar Runes of Witnessing/Warding (can never remember which one it is).
The zoanthrope ruling is interesting though. You could have a brood end up with wounds on diffferent models because of perils fails.
And empty spore pods cannot be dropped.

Is it true you can't attach a Warrior Prime to Warriors in a Spore?
If that's the case, I don't see the logic behind it... at all.

I would be in favor of voting (around here) that warriors can join them, just seems silly....

FAQ says quite specifically that you cannot attach a prime to any unit in a pod... so no, you can't do it...
pod lists are very difficult to run effectively as it is... so I guess this just seals it....

Only thing that is worth taking a pod for is the "Doom" in my opinion...not being able to add Primes to units was yet another dumb ruling in an FAQ

In regard to the Shadow in the Warp Question:
Taken directly from the Eldar FAQ
Q. How do the Runes of Witnessing work when facing a Hive Tyrant with Shadow in the Warp?
A. The Runes neutralize the effect of the Shadow in the Warp, so the Farseer will take Psychic test using 2d6 as normal.

....just stay in your transport... apparently that makes them completely immune to shadows of the warp!

^ Apparently, crystal's even cheaper in the UK. There's no other explanation.
