Been following for some time now, and it just occurred to me to share. mwomercs.com/ Sometime this year. FTP. First Person. 3049 start date. If you know BattleTech, this alone should intrigue you.

BattleTech is awesome, it's my original tabletop wargaming experience, and one of my first roleplaying games - even before D&D. A project like this just makes me so very happy, and I for one can't wait for the beta that's rolling around in the next few months. On a side note, Shannon, if you're interested in the new boxed set and want to try it out, check out Megamek: megamek.info/ Which is a java based version of said tabletop game. It's both vs. CPU and PvP, so you don't have to worry about making an ass of yourself like the old fumbl stuff (if you knew of the java Bloodbowl).

I still have a huge pile of hex maps carefully folded and placed lovingly into an accordion file.
