dont make any marine equvilents though This is only the third army in their Sci-fi line. They're still new to the whole thing but if their fantasy line is any indication then a marine equivalent army will probably appear eventually.

no they are too small, save a video where they showed them beside space wolves and they are a head smaller

Gameplay wise they're the Marine equivalent for Warpath I think. I remember seeing an interview on Beasts of War with Alessio where he listed off the races they were doing...I'll go ask him on Facebook and see if I can get a list of what they're doing.

I dunno, I mean- the miniatures themselves are nice... but it seems more like they're just taking the Warhammer fantasy armies and putting them into a scifi setting. Now Space Skaven are on the block- so it all just kind of leaves this taste of bland unoriginality in my mouth as far as a consumer viewpoint.

GW took all of its fantasy races and sent them into space. That's why there were thing like squats and space vampires back in the Rogue Trader days. It took years for GW to evolve into the faceless corp we love to hate. Mantic should be given the chance to try and see what they can evolve into.

My issue is that to me, originality goes a long way- something new that I can sink my teeth into and enjoy that is unique and has it's own feel to it different from 40k.
If I want to play something that's like 40k 25 years ago, I'll just pull out the Rogue Trader book. I'm not saying they won't be successful... I simply won't be purchasing from them personally.
