OK. I haven't got this all painted yet. But I will still play it, which isn't like me at all.
Here is the list;
Arch Lector Armour and magic stuff, Mounted
Wizard lord level 4, lore of life Magic stuff
Warrior preist Magic
BSB armour and stuff
40 swordsmen Full comd
21 handgunners
21 handgunners
20 flagellants(its only a speed bump)
11 knights full comd Inn circ
motar
cannon
10 pistoliers
steam tank
Its around 2400 witha few adjustments. I would get 3-4 extra dispel dice each turn which helps, and the chance to make more units unbreakable could help. Would like some thoughts on this list what to add or take away or replace. I own a tonne of Empire stuff and played them for years. I just can't find a good list for 8th ed. Feed back would be great.

swordsmen are going to be your bread and butter. they are really your best choice for infantry when using the empire. i usually run 20 halberd and 20 free company as detachment. a good tacit with your flagellants is to hold up a big units and come in from the side with your knights. so keep your knights close but not to close. also pistoliers i dont really like i think that they dont have good hitting power with range 8 with mulit shoot with bs4 i think they would hit somthing on 5 if you use mulit shoot and long range if they are not 4 inchs away.

About the only thing I would add would be hochlands for the handgunners. Sniping enemy wizards always pays off and with the warrior priests ability to grant re-rolls, the marksmen could be the heroes of the game!!

I am gonna split up the handgunners into 4 groups of 10. It would really do the same thing but it also gives me more deployment options. I may add hochland rifle to all 4 units but is would cost over a hundred points. I guess we'll see.

3 units of 13 would work and even just 2 hochlands might be enough to make some dark elf sorceress think twice before exposing herself to danger ;D
