I just saw that the price tag on my ork codex from 3 years ago was $25 now it's $40, does it go up $5 a year? Or was there a massive jump somewhere, as far as I know inflation isn't that big and the book is the same. Just wanted to bring this up because GW should be a little worried of companies like mantic making stuff like theirs. Does anyone think that they might stop the increases?

Its just GW being GW, and I think they'll lower their prices when American prices reach Australian prices :/

Dunno, though there is a yearly price increase for the past few years iirc.
I doubt they'll be worried about Mantic for another few years as their stuff still has a ways to go as far as quality goes... cheaper? Yes, but GW still has the best plastic miniatures in the business- Say what you want about their resin product, but their plastic is king.

I remember when a box of 20 plastic Cadians or Catachans was $30. Now their like twice the price for half the content.
In the early days I was told that you could get 3 Mark I Rhinos in a box for like $20 - 30. Though I never started till the first day of 3rd Edition.
