My vamps list I'm planning on bringing to the tournament and thus testing it out prior to then, here it is :
Lord Vampire Lord 519 Lvl 4 of Vamps Heavy Armor, Shield Ogre Blade, Night shroud, Seed of Rebirth Beguile, Quickblood, Red Fury
Heroes Banshee 95 Banshee 95 Necromancer (Lvl 2 of Vamps) Book of Arkhan 125 Vampire (Lvl 1 of Shadow) 206 Heavy armor, Shield Sword of Might, Dispel Scroll, Dragonbane Gem Aura of Dark majesty, Fear incarnate
Core 5 Dire Wolves 40 5 Dire Wolves 40 20 Zombies (Mus, Banner) 70 47 Ghouls 470
Special 5 Hexwraiths 150 5 Hexwraiths 150
Rare Mortis Engine 220 Mortis Engine 220
2400 on the dot of killy goodness. It uses a lot of the faster elements and some of the newer support elements in the new codex primarily as a means to get the vampires to kill everything themselves for the most part. Dog will screen Hexwraiths for vanguard moves to avoid first turn charges on the Hexwraiths so they can stay free to move around and do business. Zombies will be beefed up with a banshee in it and everything else will be in the ghoulstar with the Engines on the flanks. Lots of banshee screams to help balance out combats where I may or may not wiff. Overall it looks strong and like a lot of fun, lemme know what you think.

geez that looks rough to face! ummmm my suggestion is to take that tome thing that makes you roll twice on the miscast table and let my slaughtermaster with hellheart take whatever result I want... I think that would make your list more fun... for me! .....yeah I'm just kidding, don't take that ever! looks like a very optimized list with redundancy built in, the stacking for the regen from the engines makes that ghoulstar very terrifying, a very annoying flank with the hexwraiths (and since your screening them with the wolves they're alot harder to take out)... lots of magic, decent magic defense... an extremely potent vamp lord that will chew up anything in combat... ....yeah, I can't make one suggestion... that is truly terrifying....

yep... so you've got a huge block with regen, that are unbreakable, multiple attacks, poisoned and carrying a character that can kill any other character with ease, or decimate infantry... two characters invulnerable to anything that isn't magic attacks that can scream into combat for free wounds... you have a huge penalty to your leadership check due to fear incarnate so you're likely hitting this unit on 5's... vamps can deathstar like no one else... this unit will wreck anything it touches... glad I'm going no where near it
